Internship or Working Student: DevOps & Test Automation Engineer for Embedded Aerospace Systems (m/f/d)

In 2022, we founded the company to become a premium supplier of cryogenic- and high-pressure sub-systems. We disrupt the market with innovative products, cost-effectiveness, and lead time that no traditional player has ever seen. With our knowledge on fluid-control for space systems we are shaping the space economy towards refuelable and re-usable spacecrafts. 

Your mission

Join our embedded software team to:

  • Build and maintain automated testing pipelines: develop unit- and integration-test frameworks for firmware, and hook them into every pull request
  • Architect SIL and HIL test infrastructures: collaborate with hardware engineers to automate Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop validation on our cryogenic pump- and valve electronics
  • Configure and manage build environments: set up and maintain containerized toolchains (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and artifact repositories 
  • Streamline data flows and reporting: integrate test results, coverage metrics and issue tracking into our ERP system 

Your profile

  • Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Control Engineering or a related field
  • Solid grasp of Git best practices: branching/merging, workflows, hooks 
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles: CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure as code
  • Experience or strong interest in embedded-software testing (unit/integration) and scripting (Python, Bash)
  • Hands-on mindset: you enjoy collaborating across software and hardware
  • Self-organized, pragmatic and eager to own projects from design through deployment 
  • Fluent in English; German skills are a plus
