Embedded Software Engineer for Aerospace Systems (m/f/d)

München, Germany

Who we are

We are deltaVision GmbH. We develop, produce, and qualify fluid control systems for aerospace and H2 mobility. In 2022, we founded the company to become a premium supplier of cryogenic- and high-pressure sub-systems. We disrupt the market with innovative products, cost-effectiveness, and lead time that no traditional player has ever seen. With our knowledge on fluid-control for space systems we are shaping the space economy towards refuelable and re-usable spacecrafts.

Your mission

  • Develop Low-Level Drivers: ADCs, pressure & temperature sensors, motor controllers, memories and comms ICs over SPI, I²C, UART, CAN.
  • Develop Application Layer Software: Design deterministic, multi-threaded control software on FreeRTOS (or RTEMS) for ARM-Cortex-M and other MCUs.
  • Architect & bring-up new hardware: Bring new boards to life (schematic review, pin-mux, BSP config, secure bootloaders, OTA update paths)
  • Verification & continuous delivery:
  • Build HIL/SIL test rigs; write unit/integration tests (Ceedling / Unity + CMock).
  • Wire coverage, static-analysis (MISRA, Coverity) and timing analysis into GitLab CI; every merge request ships with a clean report.
  • Build and maintain automated testing pipelines: develop unit- and integration-test frameworks for firmware and hook them into every pull request.
  • Streamline data flows and reporting: integrate test results, coverage metrics and issue tracking into our ERP system

Your profile

  • Degree in EE, CS, CE—or equivalent real-world track record. Strong experience with Embedded C
  • 3 + years developing bare-metal or RTOS firmware in modern C.
  • Solid grasp of MCU architectures, peripherals and digital electronics; you’re handy with an oscilloscope and logic analyser.
  • Experience with FreeRTOS (tasks, queues, ISRs, memory schemes) or a comparable RTOS.
  • Git wizardry: feature branching, rebase, automated hooks, submodules.
  • Fluent English (German welcome)

Nice to have

  • Safety-critical standards (DO-178C, ECSS, ISO 26262) and MISRA-C compliance.
  • Control-theory implementation (PID, state-space, observer-based controllers).
  • Model-based design / Simulink code-generation.
  • Secure boot, cryptography, over-the-air firmware updates.
  • Working knowledge of Python or Bash for build & test automation.
