Bachelor Thesis / Internship: Design, development and verificationof a test bench (m/f/d)

We are deltaVision GmbH. We develop, produce, and qualify fluid control systems for aerospace and H2 mobility. In 2022, we founded the company to become a premium supplier of cryogenic- and high-pressure sub-systems. We disrupt the market with innovative products, cost-effectiveness, and lead time that no traditional player has ever seen. With our knowledge on fluid-control for space systems we are shaping the space economy towards refuelable and re-usable spacecrafts.

Your mission

Within this project, you will start the development of a cleanliness verification test bench for space propulsion products in accordance with European space standards. You will design, assemble, and verify the test bench, with state-of-the-art in-space propulsion valves within a cleanroom environment. Verification involves the possible implementation of a machine learning algorithm for image recognition, counting, and categorizing particles at a submillimeter scale.

Your profile

  • Currently enrolled student in a relevant engineering / science discipline (for example electrical / mechatronics / aerospace engineering, physics or equivalent)
  • Motivated, pragmatic, and self-organized personality
  • Passion for spaceflight and space propulsion
  • Eager to take responsibility
  • Good knowledge in fluid systems design and test, and microcontrollers like Arduino is appreciated
  • Python and knowledge in machine learning and image recognition algorithms is a plus
  • Hands-on mindset for hardware and software-related activities (inspection, assembly, testing)
  • Fluency in English, German, and further languages is appreciated
